World War II: Concentration Camps

Did You Know....

The Nazis had thousands of concentration camps throughout Europe in countries such as Poland, Germany, Austria, France, Czech Republic, Latvia, Ukraine, and the Netherlands.

Camps had different functions:
  • force labor camps (ex: Dachau)
  • transit camps (ex: Westerbork)
  • holding center camps (ex: Terezin)
  • annihilation camps
Annihiliation camps are the focus of this section.
