Paul Farmer is a renowned Doctor, Harvard professor, infectious disease specialist, anthropologist, and the recipient of a MacArthur "genius" grant. Farmer co-founded the human rights organization Partners in Health and has spent his life striving to provide medical care to poor nations, focusing on Haiti, Peru, Cuba, and Russia. His goal is to prove that it is possible to provide quality medical care in areas with few resources.
