Anatomy & Physiology - Diseases Presentation: Project Home

About the Assignment

One of the most effective ways to understand how a system works is to examine what happens when it doesn't work. Throughout the year in anatomy and physiology you will conduct research regarding homeostatic imbalances or diseases of the systems we study. This LibGuide will be an invaluable tool to guide you in your research and preparation of your presentation.

Female Anatomy

Female human anatomy cut in the sagittal plane. This computer generated image is based on segmented human data. Smooth muscle of the intestines, rectum, uterus, and bladder is visible. The cavity of the heart ventricle is surrounded by thick cardiac muscle. The heart sits on top of the diaphragm, a thin sheet of muscle that separates the thoracic cavity from the abdominal cavity. The aorta and vena cava run in front of the vertebral column.
