Where in the World is...?

Jane Austen spent much of her life in Hampshire county, England. She was born in Steventon near Basingstoke. It was here that the first drafts of Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and Northanger Abbey were written.

Situated 116 miles to the west of London, Bath was a prominent locale in many of Austen's letters and other writings.
