Wilfred Owen in WWI on the Western Front

Considered the greatest English poet of the First World War, Wilfred Owen wrote "Dulce et Decorum Est" with no-man's-land as its setting.

His poem ends with the Latin phrase "Dulce et decorum est pro patri mori" which translates to "It is sweet and right to die for your country."
