Author Study: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie Curated by Angela Wang '19

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

"To choose to write is to reject silence."

Labeled by former President Barack Obama as "one of the world’s great contemporary writer," Adichie is a woman of many talents. Despite being recognized most famously as a feminist, Adichie actually started her journey in social activism by writing. Through storytelling and intellectual essays, Adichie fearlessly critiques society's values, racism and the subtle, yet dangerous, existence of misogyny in the world. Her most recent and famous novels include Americanah, and Half of a Yellow Sun.
